Applications received outside of these hours will be processed on the next working day.

05
What do I need to use Athena as a payment option?

For first-time users, welcome! We'll need some basic details (name, mobile number, email address, and South African ID number)
and will perform a quick automatic credit assessment to check your affordability for installment payments. If the credit assessment
is not satisfactory, we may request a 3-month bank statement to verify your income source and ensure you can meet the payment
requirements.

06
How do I get fully approved after being provisionally approved?

You need to pay the required deposit to start your subscription of monthly payments. Without this deposit, your application will not
be fully approved, and we will not cover the medical bill for which you applied.

07
How do I make payments?

We have partnered with Paystack, one of the most reputable global payment partners.. You will receive a payment link, alongside
where you can make payments. The safety of your payment and the protection of your personal data is our top priority.

08
Why was my application not accepted?

Your application may not be accepted due to poor credit history or lack of credit history. We assess several criteria to ensure that
customers can meet payment obligations. If you don’t meet these criteria, your application will be declined. We have your best interests
at heart and want to ensure all customers can make timely payments.

09
I want to change the card I used to pay for my installments. How do I do this?

Visit the link you used for your initial deposit payment and enter your details as required. Click the 'Replace Card' button to load the
Paystack checkout and enter your new card information. A small amount will be charged to authorize the new card, which will be
refunded once the authorization is complete.

10
What happens if I miss a payment?

If you miss a payment, a new payment link will be sent to you. Athena reserves the right to charge a 5% fee on the missed installment if payment is not made within three days after the missed payment.
